Chapter 8  MASS TRANSPORT

Over large distances, efficient movement of substance to and from exchange surfaces is provided by mass transport.

In this chapter, you will be learning about the structure of the heart, how the cardiac cycle works and about arteries, veins and capillaries. You will also be learning about how haemoglobin carries oxygen.

You will learn about tissue fluid and its formation.

Finally, you will be learning about mass transport in plants - the tissues and processes involved in transpiration and translocation.
